100 Days Under Siege: a picketer and vigil update

Not much changed today in picketer behaviour.  The usual blocking of the security vehicle for exhorbitant lengths of time; at least an hour in the afternoon as the vehicle tried to leave, then again shortly after, when it returned.  The usual trespassing, not only on Artspace property, but at our neighbours in Inner City Housing.  The pack also went around the back of the high rise again, hunting another victim.  Thankfully, there was not another incident like yesterday, when they entrapped a woman and her dog in a hot van.

Since they read the blog so thoroughly (again, thanks for all the traffic!  You sure are a busy bunch...), we knew the picketers would be aware of our vigil planned for tonight.

But what would they do?

Well, there were the usual things heard of how they seemed intend on crashing the party, so to speak.

They also had this in their rental van's window.

In the middle of their poster is one of our own signs.  A small number of them were printed on white paper and hand delivered into the unit mail boxes of some of the town houses, though we ran out before all of them could get one.

These mail boxes are near the door of each unit.  On private property.  Yet they were able to get one.

That alone is an example of one of their abuser tactics, showing they have the power to get something that is not available to the general public.

The other abuser tactic is the rest of their poster, is how they turned it into their own invitation to any and all.

Another power play.

Another game of control.

So what came of it?

Nothing.

They left an hour and a half early.

We had a peaceful vigil.
