More on the invasion

Member videos have been trickling in.

AUPE has been targeting our community - our homes - since May 7.  They pretend that this is about "fair wages", when the care staff are actually being paid the highest in their field, when compared to equivalent jobs (which the union refuses to do, comparing instead to jobs in institutions).  They pretend this is about "rights" - but they get to define what rights are, and who gets to have them protected.  They play this game with their public image, trying to portray SAIL as this horrible, oppressive company that's taking advantage of its employees, when the reality is that SAIL is run by volunteers and funded by AHS, and has offered as much as they possibly can in wages and benefits and still remain solvent.

Like they did on Canada Day, AUPE brought out Fat Franks and had a party on our street.  They invaded our homes, trespassed, blocked traffic, made huge amounts of noise and trapped people in their homes.

This was an invasion.  Nothing more, nothing less.

They invaded our street.

They invaded our property.

They invaded our community.

Their actions are causing medical harm to our members.

Worse, they did so with the support of politicians and with the police claiming they can do nothing about it.

AUPE can keep playing the race card, the gender care - and now they're trying to play the "women's rights" card - all they want.

They cannot escape the truth.

The truth that they are trampling over the human rights of a community.

The truth that they have laid siege to our private homes.

The truth that they are causing harm to the people - and animals - that live here.

To you watching this videos, just imagine this happening outside our door.  On your street.  In your community.

This is our reality.
